La Vie en Rose – Esplanade’s sweet tribute to courage and a message of support
Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the cosmopolitan setting of the Esplanade 1925 Lounge & Cocktail Bar or the Parisian ambiance of Le Bistro, while indulging in an irresistible pink dessert and creative pink cocktails with a humanitarian purpose.
There are moments when every bite and sip carries more than just taste — they tell a story of courage, solidarity, and support. October at Zagreb’s Esplanade Hotel is traditionally just that — filled with shades of pink, warm emotions, and a noble cause. In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the iconic Le Bistro and the charming Esplanade 1925 Lounge & Cocktail Bar are dressed in pink, turning small moments of indulgence into powerful acts of compassion and support for women.
La Vie en Rose – a pink tribute to women
This October, color your gatherings in pink and do a good deed in the process. Be part of Esplanade’s pink story and help raise awareness about the importance of women’s health. It’s the perfect reason to invite your friends, colleagues, mother, or grandmother to the Esplanade and enjoy delicious bites and pink cocktails together.
Award-winning Esplanade pastry chef Mirjana Špoljar has created a delightful dessert for the occasion, bearing the pink ribbon symbol and telling a story of strength and beauty. Named La Vie en Rose, this velvety and creamy dessert in delicate pink tones combines Opalys white chocolate, mascarpone, and tonka bean with marinated raspberries and spicy mint. Each bite also carries humanitarian value — 10% of the proceeds from the dessert will be donated to the Marra Altrui Association, which helps restore confidence and a sense of wholeness to women after breast cancer treatment through medical micropigmentation. The dessert is available at both the Esplanade 1925 Bar and Le Bistro.
Cheers to pink moments
To pair with the featured dessert, renowned cocktail master Vjenceslav Madić – Master Kishoni has designed creative pink cocktails for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, available at the Esplanade 1925 Bar. Ruby Bubbles blends Old Pilot’s vodka, artisanal raspberry Hyggis gelato, lemon juice, Italicus liqueur, Peychaud’s bitters, and Villa Sandi Prosecco. Stylish and elegant, sorbet-style, this cocktail sees raspberry gelato replace lemon for a smooth finish, rounding off the bergamot liqueur flavor for a refined and drinkable fruit-forward experience. Pink Sour combines gin with a hint of vanilla, strawberry purée, and fresh lime, while the Pink G&T is a timeless classic with a pink twist, enriched with hibiscus and tonic. For those seeking a non-alcoholic option, there’s the charming Think Pink, bursting with fresh juices and vibrant energy.
Le Bistro’s offer is rounded out with a selection of fine rosé wines and sparkling labels including Prosecco Rosé Villa Sandi, Château Minuty 281 from Provence, Rosé Brut Šember from Plešivica, and the prestigious Ruinart Rosé champagne.

About the Marra Altrui Association
The Marra Altrui Association was founded to provide educational, humanitarian, and medical-aesthetic support to women during and after chemotherapy, helping them return to their private and professional lives. The association focuses especially on 3D nipple and areola pigmentation, which helps women regain confidence and a positive relationship with their bodies. Due to a lack of information about this option, the association launched a free repigmentation project. Marra Altrui aims to make medical pigmentation more accessible through education, financial support, and connecting artists. The focus is on raising awareness, empowering patients, and providing a personalized approach tailored to individual needs. The association was founded by Marija Butković, makeup artist and owner of Marra Cosmetics and Marra Studio.
